    My buying experience

    I saw a car advertised from excellent cars I liked the look of, I used the hotline and spoke to noel who as a point of contact was great, very friendly and helpful, I made an appointment to view the car, when we turned up noel was as great in person as on the phone, the car itself looked great, we were encouraged to test drive, which we did, the car was better than advertised we did the deal and arranged to pick up two days later, noel throughout the transaction was great and I can't fault excellent cars, we picked the car up on Monday and drove it back to Portsmouth from Sheffield today ( Wednesday) the car is a dream, an absolute bargain, better than we dreamed, so would I buy another car from excellent cars, you bet!! Buying a car can often be a frantic experience, one that you live to regret but in this case, my new car was a smooth pleasurable experience, and has totally surpassed all expectations, thank you noel

    No log book and lights taped in

    Purchased a car for our daughter. We were told log book could take up to 4 weeks due to Covid. After 4 weeks contacted and got no reply. Contacted DVLA and told excellence cars had paid fee for missing log book a week after they sold it to us. We are still waiting for the log book 8 weeks later. We are now seeking further advise. Despite being told it had passed it’s mot with no advisory’s when purchased our mechanic found the brakes to be substandard and the light fitted with tape. These have all had to be replaced.

    Excellent cars! Excellent customer service!

    I have nothing but praise for Dave and the people at Excellent cars. Having just come off the back of my own rogue dealer nightmare, Excellent cars restored my faith. Personable and pleasant experience from the start. My expectations were managed perfectly by Dave who greeted me warmly on arrival and led me to a spotless showroom where I was politely asked to stand in front of a scanner to take my temperature and then asked me to apply hand sanitiser from the dispenser and help myself to a complimentary face mask. From there I was taken by Dave to the car and he left me to inspect it fully. On return he happily answered all my questions. We then took it on a test drive. I'm now looking forward to picking up my new car in a few days from Dave at the showroom who has seen me through the entire experience from start to finish always making himself available for any queries. Other bigger players in the car market industry could learn a lot from Excellent cars. We'll done!

    They helped me dodge a bullet.

    Was going to buy a Mondeo they had up for sale with new MoT etc. They insisted on giving it a full check over before I travelled some distance to them for a test drive however. During the inspection up on the ramp, they unearthed a hidden and potentially seriously costly fault with the gearbox however. They then contacted me to apologise and advise me that they were not prepared to sell me this car for fear that it might let me down later on. I’m very grateful to them for alerting me and doing the right thing by withdrawing the car from sale.

    Daughters new car

    we travelled to excellent cars from Cheshire to look at buying a car for my daughter (1st car).Noel took us for a test drive,we got back to the garage and bought the car,all the paperwork was done and dusted in 20 mins.The showroom was fantastic,very modern.All COVID 19 REGULATIONS WERE COVERED.We felt very safe in the garage,the space age thermometer is worth a trip just on its own !.All it leaves me to do is to say a big THANKYOU to Noel for making our experience with Excellent Cars something to remember...for all the good reasons :-)

    AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

    I so wish I could do 0 starts because I would BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL WHEN USING THESE PEOPLE. THEY ADVERTISED 5 CARS THAT WE WISHED TO LOOK AT WHEN ARRIVED ONLY ONE WAS FOR SALE.. THE PREVIOUS HAD BEEN SOLD IN PREVIOUS WEEK AND THEY HAD NOT UPDATED THEIR ONLINE STORE, AUTO TRADER OR DESPERTE SELLER (WE CHECKED ALL 3)TO BRING YOU INTO SHOP TO SELL YOU OTHER CARS. THE CAR ONLINE WAS ADVERTISED AT £5985 ARRIVED FOR THEM TO SAY IT WAS ACTUALLY £6285 the following day WHICH WAS IN THE SMALL PRINT (LARGE PRINT AND TICKET ON THE CAR SHOWS 5985) It only had one key, was advertised at 69000 miles which the odo actually showed 72000 miles. Staff seemed very unresponsive and unhelpful, didn't have the only one key charged for us to test drive so we had to come the following day. For them to still waste our time lying about the price. Do not recommend.. Do not buy!! I will be posting this review everywhere to make people aware of the negative experience we had. We will never be coming back.
